When you've signed up for a College Readiness Review (STEP 1), completed our Worksheet (STEP 2), and scheduled your appointment time with us (STEP 3), we encourage you to complete (optional) STEP 4 - Sending Us Your EFC Data Record.
If you've not already downloaded our free EFC Calculator software, we encourage you to do so now. We use the finest EFC Calculator software in the industry and we're licensed to offer you a lite version of it. It's THE most accurate calculator available and will prove valuable in your College Planning efforts.
Upon completing your data entry this software will provide to you an “early look” at your EFC (Expected Family Contribution) computation and by emailing us your data record, we'll provide a thorough analysis to you when we meet for your Review.

Email Your Data Record
The EFC Calculator provides a feature whereby you can easily email your data record to us - and we hope you will. Your data will be automatically encrypted for security purposes. The entire process to download and install the software, complete the data entry and email your data record to us typically only takes 30 to 45 minutes.
This will assist us in preparing some valuable reports and analysis for you regarding your student’s need-based eligibility - and we'll have them ready for your College Readiness Review.
ATTENTION: MAC Users
The EFC Calculator is a PC-based ONLY application (sorry, MAC users!). If you DON'T have access to a PC, click here for a spreadsheet on which to furnish your data. Complete the spreadsheet, and then email it to us at:

Trouble Completing STEP 4?
If you're unable for any reason to complete STEP 4, we still want you to come in for your College Readiness Review! We’ll discuss where you are with your family's College Planning and make sure you're headed in the right direction. Without any financial data, we won’t have any custom reports waiting for you, of course, but you can still count on a meaningful hour with us.
Waiver to STEP 4
It's unnecessary to complete Step 4, IF:
- Parent Income (AGI) + Untaxed Income is more than $300K, with only 1 student in college, or
- Parent Income (AGI) + Untaxed Income is more than $500K, with 2 students in college
AGI is Adjusted Gross Income, IRS Form 1040 - line 37.
Untaxed Income includes tax-deferred income - such as 401K and IRA contributions - as well as child support
