Before Your Personal Evaluation
One of our favorite services at GetCollegeFunding is the free evaluation we offer to families. We want you to know what results you can expect from your evaluation with us. And we also want to clarify what we need from you before we meet. This will assure that our time together is optimized.
For families where the student is living with both parents -- biological and/or step -- it's imperative that both these parents attend the evaluation. This is so important to us in order to serve you to the fullest that we offer PRIORITY SCHEDULING to those families committed to this.
First of All: What YOU Can Expect From US
Everyone who meets with us for a consultation will receive the following:
1) First and foremost is a thorough EFC Analysis. You will receive a report indicating your FM and IM EFC calculations, both Worst-Case and Best-Case.
2) You will also receive a report entitled 'Conclusions and Recommendations'. This will clearly indicate the schools where you are eligible for financial aid (from a need-based standpoint) and those where you are ineligible.
3) When applicable we will discuss merit-based awards as well as the importance of Tax-Efficient Strategies.
4) For coming in to see us, you will receive a complimentary College Profile for your 1st-choice college.
5) You can count on us to start on time and finish within one hour. (Please be on time, since we schedule our consultations in 1-hour time slots. We want to offer you a full hour of our time.)
What We Need From You BEFORE Your Evaluation
In order to optimize your evaluation we need you to do 2 things for us before you come in to see us:
1) Attend one of our live seminars in southern California or one of our live WEBinars. This is an important 75-minute presentation that we provide as a public benefit that will expose you to the foundational elements of College Funding. 2) Complete your EFC Wizard data entry and email your data record to us. This should only take 15 to 30 minutes of your time. (If you have a MAC, please call us and we'll take your data over the phone. The EFC Wizard is a PC-based application.)
